Shia Hitatchin's POV
Shia Hitachin awoke to the high pitched keening of her alarm clock. She blinked
sleepily at the red numbers that read 4:30. Her alarm had woken her thirty
minutes earlier than he had planned to get up... She sighed and roled out of bed.
She padded silently downstairs, hearing the snores of her six roomates as she
shuffled past their quarters. They, unlike her, were not plagued with demonic
alarm clocks. They'd be up by six at the latest and one of them would cook
breakfast. Shia secretly hoped for some of Massu's tempura but she'd take
whatever she could get. It was a school day after all. Shia sat down on the couch,
her knees drawn to her chest, trying to think about what she'd have to do today.
School was first, one out of the three days she was required to go this week. She
could easily scarf down her lunch and finish her homework. Then, after her school
session was over she'd either have to race to dance rehersals or have one of the
guys pick her up. After that, around ten o clock, workout time with Yamapi and Ryo... THEN, at midnight, she was talking via webcam with her art class from her hometown in Texas. Shia caught herself thinking, 'Who plans my schedule!?'. She leaned her head back on the arm of the roughed up leather couch, sighed and before she knew it, dozed off into a dreamless slumber.
Shia awoke the second time to a loud crash. She sat up with a start and looked at her watch. She squealed. It was six thirty. Never mind the crashing and banging coming from the dining room, she was going to miss the bus to school. She raced into the kitchen, turning her head just in time to see a teapot come sailing toward her face. She stretched out her hands and caught it just before it came into contact with her nose. Hot tea and porcelin came in contact with her bare skin causing cries of "Itai" to escape her mouth. She sat the little white teapot down on the counter and wiped her burning fingers on her pajama pants.
"Ah! Gomen!" Shige exclaimed, rising from his place at the table to come and check on Shia.
Shia waved him away as she grabbed a piece of salmon off the plate on the table. "Why were you throwing the teapot anyway kato-San?" She asked through a mouthful of her breakfast.
"Yamashita-kun was making fun of my hair and..." Shige let his voice trail off as Shia turned her head to Yamapi, who had been standing behind the door and for whom the teapot had been meant.
"Yama-Chan don't pick on Shige's hair! You know how sensative he is about it." She turned to find Shige snickering behind his fingertips. "...and you, Kato... You shouldn't throw things... Do you know what would have happened if you'd have hit me?" She didn't add anything, just let Shige's vivid imagination go to work while she poured herself a cup of tea from the cooling coffee pot. She turned from the counter to the table where Koyama, Massu, Tegoshi, and Ryo were sitting watching the usual morning drama unfold with amusment. "Why didn't one of you wake me up at six! I'm going to be late for classes!" This time, Koyama answered.
"Last time I tried to wake you up you almost broke my nose. None of us wanted to do it this time so we just let you sleep." He stared up at her innocently while she stared down at him somewhat angrily.
Finally, after a long moment, Shia said, "Well you poked me. You got what you deserved! At these words, Koyama stood up and began tickling her, a smile playing at the corners of his pouty lips. Shia danced away from him and said, "I'm going to miss the bus. Who's gonna take me to school?" She grabbed another piece of salmon and gulped it down as she paced to the dining room doorway.
"I'll take you since i'm the one who almost caused you to have head trauma by flying teapot," Yamashita said, grinning his semi-crooked grin.
"Arigatou Yama-Chan!" Shia chirpped. She planted a light kiss on her cheek as she raced by. "I'll be ready in ten minutes!" Yamapi blushed as he felt her lips come in contact with his skin which caused Shige to laugh and joke about it. In no time flat, things were once again flying all over the dining room.
